PLEASE READ. Intent COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than anticipated! One of my male dogs has made claim to this toy. He is hilarious guarding this toy when the original intent was for the dogs to share & play together. Every time I turn around he’s got this log & protects the chipmunks as if they were his puppies. 💕 Still a wonderful toy & a winner among numerous other choices. 🤗

PITBULL TESTED! DON’T BE FOOLED BY FAKES My “Mom” buys these dog toys for her dog and they stand up very well to her dog’s rigorous play and chewing. But her dog weighs almost 20 lbs. So, how would this stand up to my 70lbs. German Shepherd mix? Or my friend’s 60 lbs. Pitbull, infamous for shredding fabric dog toys in under 2 minutes? Turns out, the ZippyPaws won! The eyes are stitched on, not glued. The ears did get torn off, but the seams stood up very well and it has been 2 weeks and none of the dogs have “de-squeaked” them (yet). Amazon shipping was OK, but I’m not Prime so they wait until the last minute to ship. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY OTHER DOG TOYS LIKE THESE! Make sure it is ZippyPaws. There are clones out there not as strong and they rip apart easily.

Actually entertains our beagle! Charlie (the beagle) has been playing with his squirrel log non-stop since it arrived. We are pretty pleased, considering he usually destroys a new toy within 5-10 minutes. The only down side is that the little critters inside the log aren’t very sturdy; he destroyed one in about 60 seconds when I looked away. I tried hiding other toys in the log, but he really prefers the included critters, to the point where he will dig around the “old” toys to get to one of the squirrels! He has chewed a small hole in the log as well, but as long as I keep putting the squirrels back in the log, they seem to keep his attention. We are already waiting for our first critter refill to arrive!
